Terms of service
The license, the free trial, your subscription, and what happens when Trau locks.
These terms are the agreement between you and Codesome Labs, MB (“Codesomelabs”, “we”), company code 305818239, registered at Erfurto g. 44-69, LT-04100 Vilnius, Lithuania. They cover the Trau software, your free trial and your subscription. By installing Trau or starting a trial, you accept them.
The license
While you have an active trial or subscription, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Trau.
- One license covers 2 installs. To move Trau to another machine, release one of the two from the app first.
- You may not resell, rent or sublicense Trau, share your license key, or work around the limits the license sets.
- Trau stays ours. You get the right to use it, not ownership of it.
- License keys sold as perpetual before subscriptions were introduced keep working as sold.
The free trial
You can start a 14-day free trial from the app, with every feature and no card. There is one trial per email address and one per install. When the trial ends, Trau locks until you subscribe.
Your subscription
Trau Solo is billed monthly or annually, in advance, through Stripe. You subscribe from inside the app, which shows the price before you pay. Prices include VAT: the price you see is the amount you pay, and your invoice shows the VAT it contains where VAT applies.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- If we change the price, we tell you by email before it applies to you. The new price starts at your first renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before then.
- When a payment goes through, your license upgrades itself and we mail you your license key.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Manage subscription in the app, which opens the Stripe customer portal. There you can also change your card and download your invoices. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your license stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
When Trau locks
Trau locks when the trial ends, when a payment fails, or when the subscription ends. While it is locked:
- runs already in progress finish
- the app opens read-only, so you can still see everything in it
- nothing new runs, from the app or from the command line
Subscribing again unlocks it. A paid license keeps working for up to 7 days when Trau cannot reach us, for example while you are offline.
Your code and your responsibility
Trau runs on your own machines. Your source code, tickets and run history stay there; we do not receive them.
Trau changes code on its own: it edits repositories, opens pull requests and can merge them. You decide which repositories it works on and how far it may go, and you are responsible for reviewing its work. The agent tools, trackers and source hosts you connect to Trau have their own terms and their own charges.
No warranty
Trau is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including of fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not promise that Trau will be free of errors or interruptions. If you are a consumer, this does not affect the rights the law gives you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or damaged data or code. Our total liability for any claim connected with Trau is limited to the amount you paid us for Trau in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The effective date on this page shows the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, and disputes go to the courts of Lithuania. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim there.
